Alder opened in 2021 in Sheffield’s Kelham Island and has grown into a busy independent music venue, hosting live music, DJs, Quizes, Comedy and charity events throughout the week. Our programme spans jazz, metal, indie, punk, electronica, blues and alternative music, with a strong focus on supporting Sheffield artists alongside acts from further afield.
Community is a big part of what we do. Alongside music, we work with local organisations such as Percy Street CIC, host inclusive events and initiatives, and run projects that give something back to the area. Alder is run by longtime friends Danny and Joe, with all bookings handled by the staff to ensure a jam-packed and diverse program of events.
